Goals

1) Analyze, organize and describe various formats of information objects.

LIS 6603 Basic Information Sources & Services:  I created a LibGuide on the History of Larimer County, Colorado.  The guide features current and historical information on Larimer County in a wide variety of formats: databases; governmental websites; local archives, libraries, and organizations; maps; printed books; streaming videos.  LibGuides are a great resource for compiling and disseminating specific information  to interested groups.

2) Identify and apply best practices in the use of different technologies for knowledge representation.

LIS 6711 Organization of Knowledge:  Blockchain NFT metadata describes the fundamental attributes of a given Token, including name, author, format, description, etc.  Mapping  the attributes of a Token to established vocabularies, such as Dublin Core, make them widely accessible.  

LIS 6603 Basic Information Sources & Services:  I created a screencast using ActivePresenter (an authoring tool for eLearning design) to demonstrate how to conduct basic online search queries within the University of South Florida Libraries.  The goal is to provide users with a quick how-to video demonstrating some basic navigation and search techniques, including familiarizing oneself with the library's website, conducting basic search queries, and filtering search results to the desired or preferred parameters.
