Goals

1) Identify and analyze diverse information needs of individuals and communities.

LIS: 6409 Introduction to Library Administration: I created an annotated bibliography entitled Homelessness and Public Libraries, highlighting the importance of further research into the information needs of the homeless and other vulnerable populations.

2) Evaluate and select print and digital information resources and systems to meet need of users.

LIS 6303 Preparing Instruction Media:  I created a book club while utilizing digital and print media, including a flyer, bookmarks, and a promotional presentation.  Developing and mastering both digital and print media is paramount for enhancing programs in public libraries. 

3) Understand and use appropriate information technology for information services.

LIS 5937 Digital Storytelling:  I created a marketing video (brand storytelling) for a hypothetical public library entitled Digital Storytime: Children's Poems.  The goal is to reach both digital and social media audiences through storytelling.
